A vodka that has its origins on an English family farm sounds like an unlikely award-winner, but the taste of Chase Vodka is something that's no surprise to those who hand out such accolades. That's because the makers of this product produce it in the traditional manner that guarantees authenticity, using a copper batch pot and the tallest rectification column in Europe, which stands at an imposing 70 feet. For its aroma, Chase is a combination of citrus and floral, with a little touch of apple after its been able to breathe. When it reaches the palate, the distillation process of virtually eliminating the carbon filter-like taste allows the sweetness at the beginning to advance into samples of cinnamon and vanilla. The finish affords just enough of a spicy bite to make sure that the individual sampling it is aware of the malty character that this drink offers to all.
