Chopin Potato Vodka was one of the first potato-based vodkas to grace western civilizations in 1997, and it ultimately paved the way for a reinvention of how people perceive the drink. Chopin Potato Vodka is commonly ranked high in its class. Particularly, it received significant attention and awards from both the International Review of Spirits of the Chicago Beverage Testing Institute, as well as the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Chopin Potato Vodka is only produced during certain times; specifically from September to December to preserve more starch in the vegetable. Only select farmers in Poland grow and harvest the potatoes used to make Chopin Potato Vodka. The Chopin Potato Vodka distillery processes up to 55 tons of potatoes each day in order to produce the vodka. The brand is inspired by Frederic Chopin, and its products are distilled by Waldemar Durakiewicz.
