Smooth vodka is what you get with Status Vodka, which is created in a Ukraine distillery that's been around since the waning days of the 19th Century. That kind of longevity is impressive in any category, but the fact that it's still able to capture awards in competitions is a testament to the overall taste it brings to the table. Billed as a "No Bite-No Burn" vodka, Status goes through a circuitous process before it ever leaves the distillery. Water that's derived from a 700-foot deep artesian well is then put through seven parts of filtration. That's similar to what the vodka itself does, with four runs through the distillery necessary to capture the essence of what this vodka is all about. The smoothness of this drink has aromas of whipped cream and berries that lead to a convergence of nuts, wood and sweetened spice when it reaches the palate.
