Organically grown grain from Holland is harvested and triple distilled to make Triple Eight Vodka, an ultra premium Spirit that's produced on Nantucket Island. That production, which began in 2001, is based on the fact that that the water used comes from a pristine well (naturally named #888) in the vicinity of the plant. This vodka is the centerpiece of a growing brand that comes in a variety of flavors, using only natural products. The company, which was founded by Dean and Melissa Long in 1997, has as its motto, "Hard stuff that's hard to get to," a nod to it being ensconced in Nantucket, which is one of many places of relaxation where it can be enjoyed. The aroma from this offers hits of nuts, specifically almonds, while the clear body provides a creamy interlude for the palate, where the grain and some spices merge with visions of caramel.
