In an era of artificial flavors and augmentations, Crystal Head vodka represents a bastion of unfettered quality. Rather than using additives to disguise any unrefined elements of a hastily composed product, the creators Dan Aykroyd and John Alexander take the point of quality of process and finished spirits as their highest priority. Utilizing pure water from Newfoundland, a place unspoiled by pollution, and high quality sweet corn, they distill their product four times to evoke the silken qualities in the resultant vodka. But that isn’t the end of this spirit journey. The vodka is then filtered seven times, with three of the purification cycles using crystals known as Herkimer diamonds. With a final product as pristine as the air of the Canadian wilderness, they took the goal of crafted quality as far as their bottle—a crystal skull so accurately represented and well made that a forensic anthropologist attested to its perfection. From start to finish, nothing but the finest and purest outcome is accepted.
