Crystal Head Vodka was first dreamt up in 2007 by Dan Aykroyd and James Alexander. They had been searching, unsuccessfully, for a quality vodka that was free of additives. Made exclusively with "peaches and cream" corn, the vodka goes through a rigorous process of four separate distillations. It is then filtered seven times for purity. The last three cycles of the filtration process use Herkimer diamonds, a semi precious stone. The vodka is then diluted to 40 proof using pure glacial waters. When the vodka first hit shelves in California in 2008 and sold out, the company realized they weren't capable of keeping up with the demand. Once Crystal Head Vodka built up their stock, it was released to the rest of the states in 2009. This vodka is certified Kosher and contains no additives or preservatives. It is naturally gluten-free. Crystal Head Vodka is simply the best vodka in its purest form.
