This spirit has been reinvented, and its story is being retold through new packaging. The unique, smoked-oak glass bottle has been affixed with an aged, parchment label, and is impressively presented in a Hessian-lined box made of Alder wood that closes with fittings made of solid brass. It is golden amber in color, with a rather sherried nose at the start, but it then goes on to present a sweet, caramelized aroma that is elegantly intertwined with understated notes of polished leather and oak. The addition of cream and ripe berries promises a delightful assortment of taste experiences that culminate in the flavors of malt and roasted nut. The finish is dry and soft; a subtle scattering of the aromas of spiced oak and sugar that lingers pleasingly on the tongue.
