Known as a Best Scotch Brand, the Antiquary 21-year-old Blended Scotch is made by Tomatin, a Distillery in the Monadhliath Mountains of Scotland. The recipe was first created by the Hardie brothers, John and William in 1888. The water used to create the malt is from their private mountain spring. Their technique began with fine grains and rare botanicals mixed with orange, lemon, and toffee to create the Scotch that they placed in oak casks to age for 21 long years before being sold. Today the same recipe is used to make Antiquary 21 to continue giving consumers a consistent flavor and bold aroma that they are used to drinking. A honey and heather aftertaste is what is said to be left in the mouth of consumers when they sample the Antiquary 21-year-old blended scotch. The name of the whiskey comes from a Gothic novel written by Sir Walter Scott.
