Charbay is a California family owned distillery that has been making spirits since 1983. No colors are added to Charbay Alambic Clear Rum. Sugar cane syrup from Hawaii is used along with Tahitian vanilla beans. That fact alone makes it the only rum of its kind on the globe. A triple French distillation process was passed from the 13th generation distiller father to his son who is now a master distiller himself. The distillation process occurs in a copper alambic charantais pot still. It gives this rum the scent of sugar with a slight vanilla fragrance that subdues the sweetness. Although Charbay Alambic Clear Rum is light, it has been refined for sipping. It also mixes very well.
