Rhum Barbancourt is a clear, colorless, Haitian spirit that is created using a unique yeast formula developed at Rhum Barbancourt laboratory, and in combination with the renowned, two-part Charentaise French distillation and aging method, a method usually reserved for the most prestigious cognacs. Because it is young, its strong, fragrant depth, as well as the warm notes of banana, nougat and mango are immediately developed. The initial palate is quite sweet, and so therefore rather coating. By the mid-palate, however, a certain well-developed, dominating sharpness presents itself that is forceful in its spiciness.
