Rhum Barbancourt has a rich heritage in the West Indies region. This rum label owns plantations in Haiti and produces some of the finest liquor in the Caribbean. Pure sugarcane juice is used in the two-step distillation process. Molasses are not infused into any of the liquid that's held in pot stills operated by Rhum Barbancourt. More than 600 hectares that are privately owned by Rhum Barbancourt produce enough sugarcane to satisfy the production quotas of this company. Oak barrels are used to store the rum for years before it is distributed across the world. The unique Limousin casks are designed to enrich the contents that are stored for a long period of time. A precise amount of yeast is also added into the barrels to improve the maturation process. Rhum Barbancourt combines Old World techniques with modern technology to make fine rum that can be enjoyed at bars worldwide.
