Since its arrival in 1938, the Pampero brand has offered premium rum from Venezuela and that legacy and quality is clearly evident with the award-winning Especial Rum. Taking advantage of the rich sugar cane fields in the country to produce smoother alcohol, the fermented molasses is distilled in used white oak a whisky and bourbon barrels. Rums that are two to five years old are then blended together. That creates a toffee and butter sensation that gives off a potent aroma that's a mix of caramel, butterscotch, vanilla and cooked banana. When it reaches the palate with a spicy touch, the toffee and peanut butter flavors take hold, making for a smooth and robust sipping experience, with equal parts sweetness and warmth that can be savored.
