Motu Rum is a traditional spirit label that is heavily influenced by the South Pacific region. In fact, the word "Motu" is derived from the Polynesian term used to describe an island. Motu Rum is imported into the North American market via San Francisco's Treasure Island. Tropical sugarcane is used to make every single bottle of fine rum for the world to enjoy. The rich heritage of Motu Rum can be traced back to King George Tupou V, who was the last royal leader in the pacific nation of Tonga. The distillation process used by Motu depends on precise aging that takes place in wooden oak barrels. The bottle design of Motu Rum includes woven and cloth patterns that reflect pacific island culture. The light amber color of the contents inside each bottle give hints of sweetness that is combined with a little bit of spice for some unique characteristics.
