Vizcaya rum is one of the best rum, because it is made from pure sugarcane and aged in oak barrels. Some of the world's best sugarcane is grown in the Caribbean, where the climate and terroir are ideal for the crop. In addition, Vizcaya uses traditional rum crafting methods from Cuba that were commonplace in the 19th century. Before the juice is poured into oak barrels, it is fermented and distilled in small batches. This method of making rum is what gives Vizcaya rum its delicately refined taste and smoothness. Vizcaya has also won a few awards for their meticulously created rum, including Best Aged Rum and Best Aged White Spirit.
