Motu Rum can make anywhere in the world feel like an exotic vacation. Drawing inspiration from the South Pacific, the bottles feature an island theme with decorations that will remind you of a tiki hut and a treasure map. Distilled from sugar cane grown in the tropics, that sugar cane picks up exotic flavors from the soil, which carry over to the finished drink. After the sugar cane ferments, it goes into large oak casks, similar to those used to age cognac. Only after the rum sits long enough inside those casks and picks up smoky and nutty notes from the wood does the distillation process start. The rum then goes into copper parts to form a great tasting liquid that weeds away any of the solid parts of the rum. Motu Rum then sits in new barrels for an extended period to develop new flavors before going into bottles and to customers.
