Rooted in Scottish whiskey distillation, Caorunn is a new small batch gin with the traditional Celtic botanicals juniper, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel, angelica root, and cassia bark. It’s also made with five unique ingredients that grow abundantly on the surrounding countryside where it’s made at the Balmenach Distillery in Cromdale, Scotland. Those ingredients are rowan berries (Caorunn is Gaelic for rowan), Coul Blush apple, heather, bog myrtle and dandelion. Another distinguishing feature of Caorunn Gin is that it’s made in a special Copper Berry Chamber from the 1920’s where it is put through a unique vapor infusion process. Caorunn Gin is available in top bars and restaurants, from whiskey specialists and in tourist shops throughout Scotland as well as online.
