American distilleries have been prevalent for decades, and one of the originals is Wigle. Producing a splendid line of spirits since the time of the Whiskey Rebellion, Wigle has been a staple of Pennsylvania culture for about as long as there has been a Pennsylvania. In the late 1700s a man named Phillip Wigle feuded with a tax collector over his right to distill high quality spirits, which inadvertently helped ignite the spirit revolution in a budding American nation. Wigle isn't just known for their whiskey. They also craft a small selection of exquisite gins. One of their best examples is Ginever Gin, a Dutch style gin distilled in copper stills and made only from local, organic ingredients. Ginever Gin contrasts the common, easy to make British style gin with the original Jenever tradition that is far more complex, yet far more satisfying and flavorful. Wigle is hoping to be the leader in a gin revolution that will bring the rest of the gin market back to its roots.
