Ketel 1, traditionally known as a vodka manufacturer, has recently launched a new, limited edition take on traditional juniper-infused Scandinavian boiler gin called Jenever. The drink is intended to be served in a very specific way in order to best enjoy the range of tastes available to one's palate. It should be served in a small, tulip shaped glass- sometimes bottles are kept in the freezer, though the drink can also traditionally be enjoyed at room temperature. In either case, the company and the history of the drink recommend that it be served in a wide mouthed glass in order for its aromas to be fully appreciated.
