The history of the Citadelle Gin label dates back to the 18th century. Two French merchants were given royal grants to operate distilleries to serve King Louis XVI and his family. Today, the Citadelle Gin still retains some of its old world character that has been renowned in the global liquor industry for generations. Traditional copper pot stills are utilized to properly distill all of the fresh hand-picked ingredient that go into making Citadelle Reserve Gin. This particular label includes unique botanical extracts such as yuzu, génépi and bleuet. The company has traditionally used more than a dozen different flower and herbal ingredients to enrich the taste of gin bottles. Citadelle Reserve Gin is stored inside oak barrels that have been properly aged. The maturation process of the actual liquid is carefully monitored to ensure uniform texture and quality. The final taste of this gin label is best characterized as being spicy and smooth.
