That's because they're separated from the spirit, which allows the heated vapors to coax maximum flavor from each offering. Beginning with standard junipers that arrive from the Tuscanny hills, this gin also welcomes such things as lemon peel, coriander, almonds, orris root and angelica. Combined with licorice, cassia bark, cubeb berries and grains of paradise, the resulting mix is a cascade of sensory delights.
