Gin Brand Greenall’s London Dry Gin Greenall’s London Dry Gin distillery is the oldest gin distillery in the UK beginning back in 1761. It was originally started by Thomas Dakum, and later sold to the Greenall family in 1860. It became the gin of choice in the city of London. They have followed consistent distilling processes for the last 250 years. In 2005 the distillery was destroyed by fire, but the copper stills remained intact. Only 10 days later, the distillery was up and running again. The recipes for this fine gin are only known to the 7 master distillers who have worked during the history of Greenall’s. In 2006 JoAnne Moore became 7th master distiller, and she is only one of a very few women master distillers in the world. They use a blend of botanicals such as juniper, coriander seeds and lemon to make a perfect blend. Greenall’s London Dry Gin mixed with an outstanding tonic water and lime slices makes a most unique and refreshing drink.
