Having its origins in Russia, an individual not familiar with the world of Spirits might be reluctant to sample Meukow XO Extra Old Cognac, since that country is known more for its vodka prowess than this select category. That would be a shame, since this production offers every bit as much quality after more than 150 years of creating it. With that kind of longevity, topped by its iconic logo of a puma, Meukow has established itself as a cognac that elicits praise while also offering elegance with every sip. This cognac has a fruity and floral aroma that first captures the attention of its audience, which is quickly followed by those two components factoring in the taste. In this case, however, the fruit evolves from more of a candied nature bringing with it added sweetness. For a finale, spice and smoke combine to close things out with a flourish.
