The grapes used in the production this exquisite Camus spirit originate only from the Borderies growing area. The vineyard is owned by Jean-Paul Camus The Camus Cognac House is one of the last to be entirely family run. The Borderlies area is known for its limestone soil and micro climate with a sunny exposure that's optimum for ripening fruit. Camus XO Borderies shows a deep copper color with scents of violets, nuts and vanilla. Its taste is somewhat dry. The oak taste from the barrel is faint. Camus only uses well-aged barrels that have lost nearly all of their tannin. This makes for a finish that's more sophisticated, less harsh, sweeter and lighter than the other outstanding Camus products. With each sip, it calls on you to repeat the process.
