Routinely singled out as one of the best XO's ever created, Courvoisier is a time-honored blend of both fine, and carefully aged cognacs, featuring the intoxicating aromas of creme brulee and vanilla, candied orange, and notes of iris flower; a harmonious blend of potent flavors that takes at least two decades to perfect. It is said that a cognac is defined by its bouquet. The flavor of iris is matured in Courvoisier's damp warehouses on the banks of the Charente River, warmed by the French Cognac region's sun. The toasted oak casks in which XO is aged infuse the young cognac with vanilla and caramel. Gradually, over decades, these aromas soften into the delicate notes of candied oranges and creme brulee. Courvoisier XO was meant to be enjoyed neat, pairing well with decadent deserts or cafe gourmand. Room temperature is better than warmed, but do not swirl before first taste.
