With an average aging process of 10 years, the Comandon Cognac VSOP is a Brandy that's eventually poured after a process that emphasized both softness and character. Achieved through a blend of Grande and Petite Champagne, as well as Fin Bois. It's dark amber appearance is coupled with copper shades that elicit an intensity within the final product. The first connection made is the aroma that brings about visions of fruits and spices enveloped in caramel and vanilla. Once that begins to fade, the palate welcomes a mellow offering that's rich, yet soft. All the while, the oak barrels from where it was created come through, joining a combination of fruits like pear, orange and apricot to have the taste remain long enough to know that this is a quality product. The flexibility of this drink is also an asset, since high-brow cocktails intersect with mere tastings.
