Since 1817, Hennessey Cognac has been pleased to offer their V.S.O.P. Privilege to the world. First produced at the request of the sitting monarch of England, King George IV, this extraordinary spirit represents the craftsmanship and attention to fine detail that Hennessey brings to each endeavor. It is finely aged in prepared oak barrels for many years. This allows the cognac to penetrate the oak staves of the casks and draw out the distinctive tannins from the wood, from which its glorious amber color is derived. It also imbues the spirit with the precious notes of delicately toasted bread and mellow nuttiness. The nose of Privilege is also distinctive. Upon first encountering this lovely spirit, you’ll discern clove, vanilla, and cinnamon. The palate is both complex and roundly soft—those spice notes continue upon the tongue, but are supported by long undertones of wood, leather, and nuts. This is truly an appropriate libation for any special event.
