Using approximately 40 eaux-de-vie from the finest parts of the Cognac region, Comadon Cognac VS is a smooth offering that's rich in character. An aging process of anywhere from four to eight years in red Limousin oak casks allows aromas that enhance the appeal of this golden-colored delight. Those aromas for what constitutes a young Cognac include honey with a dash of spice, along with apricot, apple and vanilla for good measure. The connection made when it reaches the palate stems from the sweet combination of items like ginger and cinnamon awash in a creamy, fruity blend. The long finish that results causes a convergence of spice and bitter offerings, but in the end, the creamy nature evokes an inviting dessert that one can't wait to sample. When it comes to the cocktail hour, this works well with most varieties that are a lure for those with a sweet tooth.
