The story of Cognac De Luze began in the early 19th century when Baron Alfred De Luze sailed to New York to establish a successful trade of fine spirits. Since then, the family owned company has been producing high quality Cognac for France, North America and dozens of other countries. The oak barrels used for the maturation process are carefully selected. In fact, each piece of wood has to be aged for several years before it can be assembled and used for the aging of actual Cognac blends. The Cognac De Luze brand has its own cooperage that assembles and monitors the oak casks. Additionally, masters carefully keep an eye on the aging Cognac liquids that might take more than seven years to properly mature. The Grand Champagne region is used to produce the Luze Alfred VS Cognac blend that is best served as a cool cocktail with some chocolate.
