Louis Royer Cognac is made by a company that was founded in 1853. It has an amber color and comes in a tall bottle with a slender neck. The cognac has been double distilled in copper pots. After swirling, the cognac leaves a thin coat on the glass. There are hints of quite a few dried fruits when first smelling. There are notes of peaches, apricots and plums as well as a hint of vanilla. A sweet flavor is evident when drinking, but this leads to a dry finish. There is a taste similar to jam when drinking the cognac with a warm lingering finish.
