Camus has been in business for about 150 years, and is the fifth largest Cognac maker in the world. Camus Cognac, was rare in the United States. Now its just very difficult to get. Like all of its Cognacs, Camus doesn't give the age of its Extra Elegance product. The Cognac laws don't permit it. The Cognac is estimated to be 50-years-old by the time it's poured from barrel to bottle. It's a very fruity and refined Cognac, and described as being ultra-smooth. Even the box and bottle are works of art. The bottle bears no label. There's only a stamped wide metal band at the top. It comes with a cloth from Camus to wipe fingerprints and smudges off of the bottle. The Cognac is elegant and expensive but well worth its price. It provides exceptional length on the palate and will wholly satisfy the most discriminating connoisseur.
